FAQ
-
1. Do I need prior experience in coaching or grief work to take this course?
Not at all. This program is designed for both beginners and experienced professionals. Whether you're brand new to the grief space or already supporting others, the course will meet you where you are and provide the tools to deepen your knowledge and confidence.
-
2. How much time will I need to commit each week?
On average, you’ll want to set aside 2–3 hours per week. The course is completely self-paced and virtual, so you can move through it on your schedule. Some students move faster, while others take their time—there’s no rush, and you’ll have lifetime access to the materials.
-
3. Will this certification help me support people outside of death-related grief?
Yes! While the course covers death-related loss, it also dives deep into grief from other life disruptions—like divorce, identity shifts, trauma, caregiving burnout, and more. You’ll leave with tools to support a wide range of human grief experiences.
-
4. What if I feel like I’m not far enough along in my own grief?
That’s such an important question — and you’re not alone in wondering this. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin this work. In fact, many people come into this program while still deeply in their own healing. This course isn’t about having the “answers” — it’s about learning how to be with pain, yours and others’, in a more grounded and compassionate way. This process often supports your grief as much as it prepares you to support others. The teachings, the tools, the conversations — they all invite you to explore your own story, at your pace, with care. You’re not expected to be “finished.” Grief doesn’t really work like that anyway. If you feel called to this, trust that. Your heart knows. And we’ll walk it together, gently.
